With all the services provided by Tawasol and the operational costs to keep the community school running all year round (12 months), each Tawasol student costs around 500 EGP per week amounting to 2500 EGP per month, and up to 30,000 EGP per year. You can therefore:
- buy one (or more) education stock(s) in the amount of 500 EGP,
- cover the monthly expenses in the amount of 2,500 EGP (5x 500) for one (or more) student(s), or
- sponsor one (or more) student(s) for a full year for 30,000 EGP (60 x 500).
Tawasol provides free education to children who never attended school due to their families' social and economic conditions. Tawasol has currently 192 enrolled students who range in age between 8 and 20 years old and they all receive a high quality, integrated curriculum certified by the Egyptian Ministry of Education, where they attend regular classes in addition to learning a craft all year round. In order to guarantee that the students won't drop out from school, each student receives a weekly allowance.
To date, 91 students graduated from Tawasol (from 2013 to 2020) and completed the elementary cycle; of which 40 students continued in middle public schools and have outstanding results. Moreover, many of Tawasol’s graduates come back to the school to help out with activities for their younger peers.
In addition to free education and a weekly allowance, each Tawasol student receives school supplies and uniforms, health care, hot healthy meals, vocational training, performing arts training, access to sports facilities, a school library, a computer lab, and an arts room.
Now that the new school is built with the generous support of several donors, foundations and individuals, our next challenge is to ensure the sustainability of the school and the continued education of our students.
Every contribution counts, thank you for your support !
